Training Information

Junior Training

Our Juniors meet outside on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Sandy Sports Centre (click here for a map), by the Liz Yelling Building/Equipment Store, next to Sandy Track. Sessions start at 6.30pm. If you have any problems finding us, speak to a member of the Sandy Sports Centre staff on the reception desk who will be happy to help.

During the Winter months an additional indoor sportshall session is held at 6pm on Monday evenings at Stratton Leisure Centre in Biggleswade which provides excellent training in a warm and dry facility! Open to children from Year 2 upwards at a cost of £3 per session. Details of these sportshall sessions will be communicated directly by our coaches.

We have groups for sprinting, hurdling, throws, jumps and endurance running and we encourage Juniors to try all disciplines before making a choice. We also hold extra sessions which will be arranged directly with our coaches.

Our beginners group caters for those aged 8-10 with the emphasis on fun and participation, although during the Winter, this age group is better catered for by the indoor sportshall athletics session.

Come along and find out – we look forward to seeing you soon!
