Friday 7th July saw a number of runners from Biggleswade Athletic Club compete in the Bedfordshire AAA 10K County Championship race. The route starts at Priory Park, Bedford and follows the cycle path to Willington and back - offering a flat, fast course for competitors. The evening's race proved a rather hot one, but a fantastic set of times and placings were achieved nonetheless.
First home for BAC was Ian Payne, with a time of 38.23 and winning the MV45-49 category. Emily Varley was next in for BAC with 39:41, achieving 2nd Female position overall. Nicky Upperton followed with 45:18, Phil Housden secured the 1st MV70+ prize with 56:00, and Christopher Clarke ran 1:03:27. In addition, BAC Coach Hannah Broom took the FV40-45 win with her time of 40.57. Brilliant running all!
