Reviewing the day, Bedfordshire Lions team managers Michael and Kat Lewis commented: “Thank you to all athletes and their parents/guardians for joining this season’s third EYAL match at BAC’s home ground.

“We achieved our highest team score so far this season − 268 points compared to our previous highest score of 254 in Thurrock. It was great to see many new faces who recently joined the Beds Lions squad. The weather was fantastic on the day too.

“A huge ‘thank you’ to Isabel who ran the food stall throughout the day and kept hundreds of people fed and hydrated. Also, massive thanks to the event organisers and officials who made the day run incredibly smoothly.

“The next and final EYAL meeting for this season is on Sunday July 28 in Bedford. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.”
