PB success for Rosanna at St. Neots Half

The final Biggleswade AC designated Championship race of 2025 was last weekend's St. Neots Half Marathon. An extremely popular local race which often sells out quickly after entries open, provides great PB opportunity due to its fast, gradual down over the last 3 miles to the finish. Taking in the villages of Waresley and Abbotsley, runners can also benefit from certain sections of the course being traffic free due to imposed road closures. Furthermore Biggleswade AC runners were able to take advantage of the favourable weather conditions being cool and calm for race day. Nick Sinclair had a strong run to achieve a 1:23:39, coming close to his half marathon PB and first home for BAC. Next in was Rosanna Bartlett who maintained her PB-smashing success from Fen 10 last month to obtain a half marathon PB with her time of 1:30:10. Coach Rob Morgan commented, "Rosie's result is a real testament to her training commitment and is much deserved." Also following on from Fen 10 and his age category win, Ian Grimwood achieved another brilliant age category placing, coming 2nd in a competitive grouping. Based on age-graded performance, the Half Marathon Male and Female Club Championship winners will be announced and trophies awarded at the Club's annual presentation evening in Spring next year.
