Biggleswade AC Throws Fest 2024
Biggleswade AC’s annual Throws Fest, held at our Sandy track on Wednesday, August 21, saw two notable performances by club Juniors in the discus competition.
Orlagh Brunning broke the club record for the U-17 women’s discus with a throw of 31.09 metres. That beat her sister Hannah’s previous record, established in 2021, by nearly a metre. Oran Blake registered a new PB with a throw of 29.83m, beating his previous best by over a metre.
The Throws Fest attracted over 50 entries from nearly 20 clubs, spread evenly across the four field events which made up the programme – discus, shot put, javelin and hammer.
